Here I am another week in and ready to see what the scale says….Eek, I always get so nervous! I’m so obsessed with the number and it really has skewed my outlook. I’m my worst enemy and harshest judge and tend to overlook the whole picture and just focus on the number, anyone else do that?
I gained this week, ugh. I am up 1.8 pounds and so sad, with my weight loss total only being 3.4 pounds now. I have made much healthier choices and have almost completely phased out my Mt Dew ‘habit’ and am really much more active than before starting the program. I’m honestly kinda torn on whether or not the gain may have something to do with muscle from being more active? Thoughts?
Mothers Day is just around the corner, in a few short days actually! I want to share that although weight is a touchy subject with most people I think a Nutrisystem gift card makes a fabulous gift! Giving the gift of health shows you really care about someone and want them to be around! Maybe consider one for your mom? I’m considering it….hmmm my mom reads my blog so I guess it won’t be a surprise!

I think that it is most likely muscle weight that you are gaining which is off setting your weightloss. My sister has the same issues she works out really hard and eats well but gets discouraged when her number on the scale isnt dropping tons but you can clearly tell that she has more defined muscle and looks great. the important thing is that you are living a healthier lifestyle and are being more active. Sometimes it takes time.

A loss is still a loss. If you can find a way to take some pressure off that might help. Good luck! I love reading your updates!

I did this program and lost tons of weight and have kept it off.
I feel for you. Weight loss now that I am older seems a whole lot harder than when I was in my 20s and 30s, even the motivation to lose weight has waned. Very sad. I would think you’d be dropping more weight now that your soda has been eliminated, I’ve heard that soda makes you retain fluids. Are you drinking enough water?
