Bumkins All in One Cloth Diaper ~ Thanks Mama

New Disclosure (Above placement)Recently a close friend of mine who just gave birth to twins told me she wanted to cloth diaper. Of course I was elated and wanted to help her in anyway I could. She expressed an interest in ‘easy’ cloth diapers so of course I recommended AIO’s (all in one cloth diapers). Having the pleasure of recently being introduced to the Bumkins all in one cloth diaper I shared with her how much I really like it!bumkins all in one cloth diaper.pngThe outside of this one sized diaper is very a soft waterproof material made from PUL with TPU that boasts really adorable solid colors and prints, ours is inspired by Dr Seuss. The wide two rows snap closure offers a wide range of sizes and crossover snaps for accommodating really small waists. The easy to use snap down rise system offers quick adjustment for quickly growing babies all the way through toddlerhood and is designed to fit babies from 9-35 pounds. The two hip snaps are great for preventing wing droop.bumkins all in one diaper.pngThe inside of the cute diaper is my favorite part, it is so unique. The sewn in insert actually has the option to snap in the front pocket style opening to keep it in place or leave unsnapped and stuff in extra inserts for additional absorbency. This design offers a super efficient drying time for an AIO. The all natural insert consists of a 2 layer blend of cotton and bamboo rayon making it very absorbent and soft against babies delicate skin. The surrounding material is stay dry fleece which is great for babies comfort.bumkins diaper.png.pngTates is actually larger than the weight range on this diaper at over 36 pounds however there is still a few snaps on the waist that he could even be larger and it would fit. The leg and back elastics are super soft and stretchy yet strong at holding in messes. We have to cover the hip snaps when he wears the diaper to avoid exposed snaps on his skin which did occasionally mean we experienced some wing droop however not always. This diaper is super trim! At a regular retail price of $16.95 this is definitely a wonderful option for an all natural choice for an all in one cloth diaper.

I would love to get some new cloth diapers to try.

  2. That One Fish Two Fish print is ADORABLE. I’m a huge Seuss fan, so I’m pretty sure if I was lucky enough to win, I’d be getting one of those!

  3. Anne Perry says:

I would love a Planetwise hanging wet bag

  4. Shalaina S says:

I love that the bumkins AIO is so affordable. Since this is a brand I have yet to try,
the price intrigues me even more. I may get one or two in the future to try myself. Thanks mama also sells a diaper bag by bumkins that I may splurge on as well.

  5. I’ve never heard of Thanks Mama before! Now I’m very intrigued. ;)

  6. When I first decided to cloth diaper my babies, Thanks Mama was one of the first stores I stumbled across… their selection is amazing! (I also loved all the info on their blog.) If I won, I’d probably put this toward some newborn diapers, but it would definitely be hard to make a decision with all the awesome stuff they have. :)

  7. I’m always up for some detergent like RnG Classic.

  8. Nicole Bear says:

I haven’t tried an AIO diaper, but this one looks like a good place to start.

  9. I’ve been wanting to try a Bumkins diaper!!

  10. Love the selection at Thanks Mama. They’ve got the one diaper cover in the size we need that is soooo hard to get where I am :)

  11. E. Diane Macauley says:

The Green eggs and Ham print is so cute! We are having a children’s book themed shower and nursery for this baby so Dr Seuss would fit-in perfectly. I also really like the options with this diaper so extra nighttime protection can added as needed.

  12. I’ve been going back and form on adding a couple of these to our registry. They’re so cute but I’ve heard mixed reviews and I’m always hesitant to spend money or ask others to spend money on a product that I’m not sure about. Your post gave me a much better look at how they can be altered for more or less protection and how can you not love the print? Thank you!

  13. I’ll be getting some detergent!

  14. Crystal Balzer says:

I’ve never tried an AIO diaper. I appreciate your review and am looking into trying a few.

  15. Michelle H says:

I would probably get some swaddling blankets for new babe due in May.

  16. I’d love to get a cloth diaper from Thanks Mama. They have a nice selection.

  17. Julie Ghrist says:

I love AIO diapers… i would love to try this one. My current favorite is the BG Freetime but I would love to try this one. I like that the insert can snap in and that this seems like an AIO that would get nice and clean in the wash

  18. Kortney Picker says:

I really enjoyed this post because I too am new to cloth diapering so it is nice to know that AIO’s are the “easy” cloth diapers lol! I am learning so much!!

  19. Looks like the Bumkins design has improved since I last saw one in person in 2011. would love to try it out!

  20. I’d love to increase my stash of covers!

  21. Carissa Joslyn says:

I’m dying to try some babykicks or baby kangas! not sure why, but they are speaking to me! :D although i havent tried a lot of different diapers before.

  22. Oh man. Where to begin…I would definitely get some teething oil, then I would be torn between getting some new prefolds, diaper covers, or training pants for later on.

  23. I checked out the site and I would love to order bumGenius Newborn All-in-One Cloth Diaper!

  24. I would get a babykicks organic onesize. I had one with my son I bought used and I loved it. It disappeared sometime between his potty learning and my newborn daughter so I’d love to have one again.

  25. I would buy an sbish organic OBF fitted!

  26. Claire Rheinheimer says:

I’m searching for a diaper that is trim enough to fit under jeans for my 8 month old. No luck so far, maybe this one??

  27. My first is due in August and I have been researching a TON about cloth diapering in order to prepare. It is overwhelming, but I am excited to get into it!

  28. Samantha Yoder says:

I’ve never really looked at Bumpkins before but I love that style of AIOs, it’s like a Simplex or a Tots Bots EasyFit but more affordable! And their prints are super cute :)

  29. Luda Franklin says:

There are so many great things, $25 gift car would be so useful im sure i’ll spend more than that!

  30. Sarah Hayes says:

I ordered a bib from TM before and I love it. they have things that no other store carries so i was really happy to make a purchase from them

  32. One Southern Girl says:

Thanks Mama has soo many options! If I won, I’d like to add some newborn diapers to my stash or I’d get a Totsbots! I’m really loving their New York, London and Paris prints!

  33. I have a bumpkins bet bag and I love it — they make very high quality products!! I would buy some newborn fitteds for my newest addition coming in June if I were to win the Thanksmama gift card! :) I LOVE thanksmama!

  34. I really like the pocket to add extra inserts, the only AIO I’ve ever tried didn’t have that and it was hard to add absorbancy. I’d love to try this one and I think I would get it in the Fire Engine print (my son loves them!)

  35. I love that they sell geffen baby! i love that brand!!!

  36. amanda wroblewski says:

Thanks for this review! Bumpkins is available at my Buy Buy Baby, so I kind of figured I’d end up trying some, just because it’s nice to be able to look at it before I buy it. It’s nice to see what someone else says about them.

  37. I love AIO diapers, this one looks great

  38. I’d buy some diaper covers.

  42. sharon fuller says:
