Listerine 21 Day Challenge Results & How You Can Start for FREE! #LISTERINE #21DayChallenge

In an effort to start taking better care of ourselves, my family has been making some changes.  One change being for the last 21 days we have been taking the Listerine 21-Day Challenge (you can check out the first part of our experience here).

Although I almost always brush twice a day, I have learned through this challenge that brushing alone leaves 75% of germs in the mouth. I’m not very excited to admit I have always had issues with cavities, especially as a child. My oldest is 14 and luckily up until now he hasn’t had any BUT we just had our routine cleanings and he has four! HELLO wake up call! It’s time to make the permanent change to ensure our oral health care gets better not worse!

We were lucky to have learned about the cavities right after we started the challenge. Any mom of a teen/preteen will tell you that it’s like pulling teeth (lol) to get them to do what you say, well after having four cavities filled T-Bone was definitely ready to embark on the healthier mouth journey!

One of my favorite things about this challenge is the wonderful array of tools we were given to ensure our success. With a few different floss options (traditional and access flossers) as well as several different mouth wash/rinse flavors (Arctic Mint, Fresh Citrus, Cool Mint) for both parents and kids (Bubblegum with their favorite characters!) the entire family is sure to find at least one they like. Mint flavors give me a headache so the Fresh Citrus is a fabulous solution for me ;).

I am very happy to report we have all been doing better to brush two times a day, as well as use floss and rinse. To be honest the healthier habits not only make us look and feel better but they have made us more conscious of our teeth and breath after every meal and snack!

Just like washing our hands before we eat, brushing our teeth after we eat has become routine. Personally, I have come to love the clean and refreshing feeling after I use floss and use rinse along with brushing, it makes for a more all around completely clean feeling. The new formula featured Everfresh Technology that is designed to last up to 3X longer vs. just brushing as well as the Cool Mint formula which is designed to kill germs, prevent plaque and control bad breath are both favorites in our home. We like to alternate them and use them together each day!

    I monitor their sweets, rarely take them to a fast food place, visit the dentist every 6 months and brush, floss and rinse!!

Not any big tips, just a lot of nagging morning and bedtime to brush teeth (for 6 kids for at least 30 years now), plus often if the kids ask for candy or sweets I say YES, if they brush teeth after. Plus I do encourage to floss by buying the small plastic flossing sticks. They like them and can take in ziploc in overnight bag they go anywhere

    We started my girls going to the dentist as soon as they got a tooth. We go every 6 months with our appt. scheduled a couple of years in advance. We brush daily, I’m still trying to get them to do it twice daily though. So far so good! thank you!

    I don’t know that we have any special tips – we’re old enough to understand the consequences of not using good oral health habits, so we’re consistant about using high quality oral care products and brushing/flossing/rinsing after meals and before bedtime.
