As part of the Go Green Get Fit Challenge team I had the pleasure of receiving a pair of new shoes from PlantShoes.com to help me in my journey to getting healthier. Not only is this super awesome because hello, I love shoes but also because I could really use a great pair of shoes for getting into shape and with the help of the wonderful customer service team as PlanetShoes.com I was able to choose a pair of shoes that not only fit my style and personality but also the needs of my feet and body.
I have shared before that I have wide flat feet which means some shoes just do not work for me. Throw into the mix that since the store is online you don’t get to try things on and anyone might be nervous at purchasing however with free return shipping and a 100% Satisfaction guarantee you can’t lose!
When given suggestions according to my foot ‘features’ the Patagonia brand was one of the recommendations and I immediately knew I wanted the Patagonia Tsali 2.0 in Forge Grey/Nile Blue color. Grey is one of my favorite colors and although it was hard to choose between the blue and the hot pink (and the lime green is super cute too!) I went with blue because I figured it would coordinate with more outfits.
The shoes are super lightweight (under 20 ounces!) and are trial shoes which means they are specifically designed with an anatomical footframe and a reinforced Dynamic Lacing System for a secure, precise fit on uneven terrain. And with the multi-density sticky rubber outsole providing 360-degree wet/dry traction in varying conditions I am not ever worried about getting caught while running in the rain!
The shoes are very breathable as well, my feet never get hot or sweaty no matter what the temperature is when I am working out thanks to the mesh upper material.
The shoes are very comfortable and supportive of my feet, from the moment I put them on they were comfortable and I have never had any ‘breaking them in’ time period, comfort the entire time I have had them!
What else is super cool about these shoes? They are vegan, have anatomical perforated footbed supports made from 20% recycled EVA as well as the forefoot shock absorption pad and flex grooves having 15% recycled EVA, love it!
Not only are my shoes using recycled materials but PlanetShoes.com offers CarbonFree shipping options as well as partnering with charitable organizations like Soles4Souls, 1% for the Planet, and the Conservation Alliance to help keep the planet green.
