Father’s Day has always been a funny ‘competition’ kinda joke between myself and my Dad. You see my birthday is in mid June so my Dad has always told me that my birthday gift will depend on how good my Father’s Day gift is, that is just the kind of goof ball my Dad is!

My dad was the one who always came to our school functions, games ect. He also took us to off the wall locations for vacation. He would stop in crowded places and do weird dances to make us and everyone around us smile.

My dad passed away about four years ago. I miss him so much. At the time, we really weren’t close, but I feel like he was the only person in my family who really “got” me. It’s hard when you realize that once their gone. He loved life so much!
