I live in an area that not only has hard water but bad tasting water. You can’t drink water right out of the faucet it simply tastes nasty. This has been a huge problem for our family because not only do I not like purchasing bottled water but it isn’t eco friendly to have all those water bottles even if I am recycling. I have wanted needed an alternate solution however not really had many ideas until now! I am super excited to have had the opportunity to try the ZeroWater pitcher and TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) Meter.

I was stalking my mailman waiting to get this because I couldn’t wait to start using it! We received the 10 cup pitcher, included filter, TDS meter, user manual and $35 in coupons for future filter purchases. The TDS meter conveniently fits inside the lid of the pitcher so you don’t have to worry about losing it.
I tested our regular tap water before using the pitcher and after along with the bottled water we purchase. The amount of dissolved solids significantly decreased with use of the water filter pitcher and the taste of the water was actually good! I was really amazed at what a difference the ZeroWater pitcher made and at how quickly it worked. I had the pitcher filled up and water ready to drink in less than a few minutes.

This is our tap water before going through the pitcher
This is the bottled water we PAY for, yes that is my baby’s cup! Yuck!
Now that is a great number! Water after going through our ZeroWater pitcher.
Having the TDS meter you can really see the difference in the levels of chemicals in your water before and after using the ZeroWater pitcher. The filter has 5 stages of filtration which certifies it in removal of not only the chlorine taste from your tap water but also Chromium, Aluminum, Lead, Zinc, Nitrate and more. I love the pour-button spout feature that allows for filling your cups without having to remove the pitcher form the refrigerator (great feature for kids!). Something else that is super awesome, ZeroWater recycles their own used filters! You can find more information on their site to recycle your used filters.
So now that I have you thinking about what is in your water, want to see exactly what I am talking about?
Pretty nasty stuff! You can find out what your TDS score is and purchase your own filtration system at the ZeroWater website and connect with ZeroWater on Facebook. You can use code MC30 to get 30% off your order right now!
I know you want to have great tasting water like we do now right? Yep, that is what I thought! 2 super lucky readers are going to win a ZeroWater pitcher! Fill out the Rafflecopter form below for your chance to win! Good Luck!
***Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of ZeroWater and received a water pitcher to facilitate my review, two pitchers to giveaway, and extra filters to thank me for taking the time to participate.***

My area's TDS number is 152. I'm not surprised, and it's not bad!

My area is a 152 tiffanymvanick@gmail.com
There is no rating for my area, but according to the map, we would be 201-300. We have very hard water, so it wouldn't surprise me to be on the high end of that!
266 — no, i'm not surprised. our tap water is disgusting!
Mine is 174, which seems decent. My city talks a lot about how they have great tap water. It could be better, though!
Our average reading in 233. We have pretty hard water around here, but it's nice to know that it's about in the middle of what the EPA allows.
The map has it pretty far away, but the closest is 224 which doesn't surprise me since its well water and it has a lto of calcium and other things in it.
252 in my area. I never trust city water.
Ours was 116. Not surprising since we have awesome tap water here..but 0 would still be better
Wow! would love one of those!
ah ok, 128 is the score here, still zero stuff in the water would be great.
165, I'm actually surprised it's not higher!!
Ours is 260, and I know you can taste it.
Mine is 210, I am surprised.
281 in my area. City water! I'm disgusted by this.
Our is 202 – and we always use some type of filter or something as out of the tap it tastes really really funny. I know that city water is regulated more than bottled water BUT just thinking about everything added to the water to kill everything worries me.
They didn't have a reading for my area, but the nearest was 396!!
Within 50mi of my location, the readings are between 190-260. I live very close to the water company though, so I wonder how this would effect the readings for my neighborhood?
It said 210 here. I suppose I've honestly never thought about it much, but would love to have a zero!
It was 169 – not really surprised by the number.
my number is 227

My score is 750…nope not a typo :0 I'm not really all that surprised that it's high, just that it's THAT high. The water is known to be horrible here.
Our score shows 31. However, we have a well as to many people in town, so I really have no idea how accurate that is.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Our score is only 121. I'm surprised that it's not higher! Our water is terrible! When we fill the tub, you can actually see the orange-ish hue from iron and etc. This would be soooo awesome to win!!

I am surprised–ours is 11 and 14, for our neighborhood. Seems pretty good!
193 and I'm not too surprised.
137 – I'm surprised it's not higher considering how bad ours tastes!
Mine is 125. I do not drink our tap water because it tastes like dirt! YUCK! I thought it would be higher.
